So whoever’s been waiting for that new expansion just so they could play with the original cast will be disappointed. The old cast is appearing in The Passing only as non-player characters. On the other hand, L4D1 will receive an expansion later on that ties in with the new L4D2 expansion. Derp.
Also, I’ll be updating the site from now on with other gaming news I find interesting. Source/Valve may be a fun subject but they don’t throw out good news that frequently, and since the editors I don’t pay stopped writing, I’m going to try to bring content here more often.
Edit: I’ll also be trying a few new things with the ads, if something does happen and you get bombarded with really annoying ads, please contact me.

Hopefully everyone’s had a nice Christmas so far. Besides the circus of value the steam store has been lately, Valve’s got another gift for you. A new single from the Midnight Riders, All I want for Christmas (is to kick your ass)
A L4D2 DLC campaign was announced recently, and the main focus of it is the return of the old survivors. This is great news for the fans who really connected with the original cast. The new campaign is called “The passing”, and it’s set in a small rural town in Georgia, featuring one new uncommon infected, one new melee weapon, one new firearm, and a new co-op mode.
What I’m wondering is how big this expansion will be. You’ve probably heard how each survivor has over one thousand voice lines, so there’s going to be some downloading to do. Also, pricing hasn’t been announced yet, but PC players can expect it to be free.
So I’ve been working on some minor sound mods for L4D2 and I may make more. I may even try to make a whole pack for a Special Infected. But for now, it’s just small subtle things. Here are the download links.
To see how these soundmods work you can check my Youtube account. For the videos. If you don’t want to look through my videos to find them well then heretheyarealright?
And yes two soundmods are not available for download. The Final Fantasy Fanfare Healing and the WOOP WOOP sound alarm. This is because the WOOP WOOP alarm decided to break for some reason and in game it just plays once and never again. The Final Fantasy one is fine and if people want it I shall upload it.
Here’s a couple of L4D2 soundmods released recently. First one by me, simply makes the charger use the heavy’s lines. Incredibly exciting and complex, I know.
Next up, another Charger soundpack, this one making the charger echo Leeroy Jenkins famous battlecry across the landscape. This one’s by Jackvancouver.

Listening to the developer commentary can reward players with some silly hijinks. So now I guess we know what Valve does when a “bug” is found or when something is delayed.
