Yes, thats right.
Those of you who have pre-ordered Left 4 Dead 2 may have found something special when you booted TF2 (I didn’t myself so I’m not sure exactly what the situation is). Bill’s hat. Like, that beret. Will be your hat.
My comments (not that they matter) after the break.

How many of you said to yourself, “this year I’m going to really pull out all the stops and make a truly spectacular TF2 Halloween costume! Then I’ll invent a jetpack and solve world hunger!”
Me too. Except as Halloween crept closer, I crept further away from turning my dream into reality. I mean, even the easiest costume would involve stitching, shopping, and work! How tiresome!
Then the Halloween update came out and I saw my chance. A paper bag hat! How easy!
Soon, with the help of some crayons and a shopping bag I had my own TF2 costume!

Such professional quality! Such inventive design! Such a cool They Might Be Giants shirt!
So, for those of you with ten minutes and whose other costume prospects limited to ‘teacher’ or ‘lawyer’ or ‘person in normal clothes,’ I have created an amazing tutorial! HEER GOEZ.

Forgot to post this here the other day, a new scout hat.

That helmet ain't gonna save you.
This one took a bit more time to do than the others, mainly because I’ve never done bendy straps like the ones holding the bars to the padding before.
As always, get it from here, or from FPSB.
Serverside version is here.

Here’s a new one I managed to polish up for a public release. It’s nothing big, but I’ve got more stuff on the way.

Fat got my tongue.
The clientside version can be found here, or at FPSBanana.
The serverside version that is used with the sourcemod equipment manager can be downloaded here.

I got this idea off here. Anyway, install instructions included in the readme, enjoy.

You wouldn't hit this harmless looking heavy now, would you?
The clientside replacement version is available here or at FPSBanana.
The serverside version that’s used with the sourcemod equipment plugin can be downloaded here.

Think of it as a tower hat inspired off this picture. Credit for that goes to the original author, Agent Melon.
Making hats doesn’t seem as hard as I thought it would be. The hat itself it looks something like this:

Classy.
If you’re a server admin and you want to use this with the sourcemod equipement plugin, you can get this from here.
If you’re just a player and you want to replace your hats clientside, download the hat from here. Installation instructions included inside the readme file. Also up at FPSB.
EDIT: Links should work now.
