Won’t be here as soon as the new year turns around, but I can still wish you all a good one in advance!
I wonder how many cakes Gabe ate this year…

So, I’ve been playing with the sticky jumper recently, and as you all know there’s been a patch just a few hours ago.
The Rocket Jumper and Sticky Jumper now have no max health penalty, and have damage vulnerabilities instead.
I see this and I’m thinking “Great, they finally realized that those weapons were fun but horrible to use because of their health negatives”.
Then I look at the disadvantages, and now you take double damage from everything. So effectively you’ve got 87hp now. What the fuck.
By the way, double drop week.
Caber + Sticky Jumper is the only fun thing in the update. That’s all.
I was going to link each piece of info individually, but screw that, here’s the Facepunch thread. Basically there’s a high enough chance that we’re getting meet the medic this Christmas, along with some polycount items. Also some playtester talking about how portal 2 totally exists and how he saw meet the medic but he ain’t sayin SHIT.
EDIT: Nevermind, there’s an update out.
Just sayin’. Whatever the hell the final hat is it’s probably not worth the bother anyway.
EDIT: The wiki got hacked, you can’t really make sense of what’s written in the articles, but I left the link up there for the curious ones. I’d warm up the script blocker if I was you.
EDIT2: The wiki’s back up now.
Log into steam, receive treasure hunt. Games gonna fly off the virtual shelves like hotcakes.
I mean, hell, Chime costs a buck right now. Maybe there’s a song in there I might like…
EDIT: And RUSE is like 33$. Hahah.
You might’ve noticed something new in your steam library lately, besides those games from the deals a few days back. Some time ago Valve announced that it was using a closed beta to test out new weapon ideas and other concepts, but Thursday they’ve made it public, albeit a bit limited.
Basically all you do is install the game, and you can play around with two map versions and three new natascha variants. They’ve nerfed ol’ natty quite hard for some reason, it never seemed overpowered, but people complained a lot about it. Must be something about the fact that you just die over the same distance only slower. You also receive all the weapons from the start, but you don’t get any random drops. Should be worth a try.
