Yes. Yes, yes, yes. If you’ll notice, it strongly resembles that drawing from the chalkboard (look below). Called it! Well, someone else called it and I re-posted it.
Also, the comic continues. The soldier’s name is “Jane Doe?”
And anĀ another free weekend! Invite all your friends! Demonstrate to them firsthand the awesomeness that is TF2!

I play a lot of pyro, and I can say this update has been nothing but hell. Demomen get the ability to dash away quickly and take 50% fire damage, and now the soldier has a rocket launcher that is twice as hard to reflect and useless to anyways because of how hard it is to aim reflect kills… I am pissed. Pyro better get some kind of buff outa all this, or Valve is going to have some explaining to do.

I kinda dig the new rocket launcher as a pyro since most of my reflects are the ones from guessing when they are going to shoot anyway.
What irks me is punishing people for being airborne. Especially after all this time they’ve been rewarding it (with less damage).
Targe I’m not seeing a huge problem with. If a slower class wants to play melee I have no problem Axstinguishing. Plus details are yet to be seen : If he can’t dash mid air, then airblast could ruin their day.
I really don’t see many people sticking with targe unless they plan to melee. Sticky’s just too much zone control.

Since the Pyro was one of the first classes to get updated, all of these new weapon updates just seem more unique. Like the melee kit completely changes the demo’s role. We got our update back when they were trying to make alternate versions of the existing weapons. Most of the stuff we got is useless now except the axtinguisher. Once the Engie update is done they should do a second round of updates, and give us something we can use. Or perhaps they’ll just release new weapons at random.

THAT would be interesting.
“Spin the wheel! Which class gets the next new weapon? No one knows!”

The soldiers name is NOT jane doe.
Jane Doe is a name they use for fallen soldiers that cannot be identified.

Yeah, I think Jane Doe is just the soldier’s confused alias. Looks like his name is Captain Dan.
And the Equalizer and Buff Banner look awesome. I can just imagine wearing one outside the enemy courtyard in 2fort surrounded by teammates… the last thing all the enemy defenders hear is a bugle and a mini-crit noise…

One, if you can’t hit anything ever with an airblast, take the time to learn, cause it really isn’t that hard.
Two, I to would like more weapons for the earlier updates, that would be nice. Saying that, I don’t really see it happeneing.
Three, the soldier is not Captain Dan, that’s the name of the army surplus store that the Soldier got the soup from. On top of that, he has “Mister Jane Doe on what I assume is his mailbox. Therefore he goes by Jane Doe.

Well, looks like the soldier won.
Got some boots that cut down on rocket jump damage received.

Well, the medic still needs a kill taunt… though they did retroactively add the Kritz taunt.
