So Valve decided to get into the spirit of Halloween. With this update comes arena_harvest, 5 achievements and something about explosive pumpkins! There was also a quick event handing out special halloween hats much like the debacle with the soldiers medals. And as of this post they are all out. Oh but don’t worry Valve has made it easier on us! If you see someone wearing the special hat, dominate them and the hat will also be yours!
There also seems to be a mysterious message from a “Zepheniah Mann” (Mann? Like Mann Co?) His name is on the tombstone located on the update page.

What I love about the family portrait is the crazy amount of lore that got crammed into that one little picture. Zepediah, the crotchety owner of the world, on his death bed with his loving wife and 3 sons around him. The leaders of RED and BLU now fight over ZM’s global territory, being supplied weapons and technology by the third son, Saxton Hale, and supervised by the Announcer, their mother. Also, a guard dog. Whether this is actual lore or just a joke by Valve remains to be seen, but I’m hopeful.
