So Rock, Paper, Shotgun seems to have scored an exclusive look at our newly-revealed zombie sequel. The list of new things is quite staggering, even though it’s just a glance at the full game. Included in the new things:
- More connection between each campaign, i.e. there will be a way to “see how the events of one lead to the beginning of the next.”
- New guns- basically like the old guns, but revamped.
- New survivors- their names are Coach, Rochelle, Ellis, and Nick. Look at the article for more details.
- New special infected- that one-armed guy is called the Charger. Apparently, he slams in a straight line toward you, knocking you aside like a bowling ball knocks over pins. Also, Witches will now roam the map, walking in a daze until you accidentally bumb into one (or she bumbs into you).
- Re-worked crescendos- to prevent players from camping until the crescendo ends, you now will have to fight your way to another location before the hordes stop.
- Gauntlets, where the survivors will have to push across a narrow area covered in zombies (but without any zombies attacking from behind).
- A new, smarter director, who will not only be better at item placement and horde timing, but will be able to alter the map to make things easier or harder for the players.
- Incendiary bullets that set anything you shoot on fire.
- New Southern US setting including daylight maps where you don’t always need your flashlight.

The light from the other players torches should also be visible on the environment. It is not, it never was.
