Survival Mode
- New gameplay Mode

Versus Changes
- 2 new versus campaigns
- Fixed a case where versus team score would continue to be recalculated after the score panel was displayed
- Fixed an issue with recalculating the versus score health bonus for a player when they are rescued from being incapacitated
- Fixed being able to start a swing as an infected, then teleport to the survivors and have the claw swing hit a survivor
- Fixed a case where teleporting to the survivors would not reset the ability timer
- Fixed an exploit where you could load the chamber of a weapon with bullets by holding down the melee key
- Fixed a case where it was not possible to join a game while it was in a finale
- Fixed a rare case where listen servers would speed up the game over time
- Removed convars related to melee fatigue
- Fixed a case where infected players would get a respawn time on their initial spawn into a map
Server Changes
- Made ms_force_dedicated_server not require cheats
- Add a message when queuing a heartbeat
- Simplified setting of game mode
- Removed convars director_no_human_zombies and director_holdout_mode
- Added mp_gamemode [coop,versus,survival]
General
- Added lobby join and leave messages
After playing a little bit of survival I noticed that record times aren’t to be trusted. A simple cvar can enable you to get some ludicrous survival times. More on this soon.

I think the update is not very good. survival is no fun with just four people. its just like campaign, and the new map is nothing special

I have to agree with z0mba. I don’t see survival keeping me entertained for too long. After all, AI opponents aren’t that interesting. Then again at least they don’t ragequit the second things start to look skewed against them.
Besides that, getting the best time generally involves a combination of finding the most exploitable spot and luck. That, or just cheat the timer.

I didnt know what to expect from the news i heard i was actually hoping for greater player limit, but how many new maps were added? Did i see sixteen?
Another thing is the constant tanks that attack you gets a little frustrating.

After giving it a good few hours, this new mode of gameplay is quite annoying, it was seemingly impossible to get longer than 10 mins with my mates until we had to use an exploit on the map to get around it. I don’t think playing with bots will ever be fun, that’s what made games like CS:S and TF2 great. It’s what Versus mode great too. But the update did include 2 more versus game modes, so I’m happy
